Tackett

Tracy Tackett first began rowing in 1991 while attending Western Washington University and was part of the four with coxswain at the 1993 National Collegiate Championships.

After completing her education, Tackett was part of the first U.S. team to compete in Paralympic events at the FISA World Rowing Championships in 2002, taking home the bronze medal in the adaptive four with coxswain.

At the 2008 Paralympic Games, Tackett was on the podium again, claiming one of the first-ever awarded medals in the mixed four with coxswain. Her team of Simona Chin (Houston, Texas), James Dean (Pickerington, Ohio), Jesse Karmazin (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.) and Emma Preuschl (Indianapolis, Ind.) won the silver medal, finishing just behind Italy.
