- Her coach suggested she give Para track and field a try, and Heyison was classified and participated in her first development camp in 2021
- A three-time high school state champion
- Competes for Wake Forest University at the NCAA Division I level
- Mother Tanya played volleyball at the University of Maryland - Baltimore County and father Marc was a 9th-round draft pick for the Baltimore Orioles
- Hobbies include singing and playing guitar, baking and spending time with friends and her dog and cat
