Road to Buenos Aires

Peyton will represent Team USA in the women’s 58 kg division after capturing the women’s 58kg title at the 2018 American Open Series II/Youth Olympic Trials. Brown was nominated by USAW after securing the one women’s weightlifting entry for the 2018 Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aries. She currently owns two Youth American Records in the 58 kg weight class. Peyton will follow in the footsteps of Deirdre Lenzsch (Somers Point, NJ) who competed in the 63+ kg class at the 2014 Youth Olympics Games in Nanjing, and Jessica Beed (Norman, OK) who competed in the inaugural 2010 Youth Olympic Games in Singapore. This makes Peyton the third American female to compete at the Youth Olympic Games in Weightlifting.
