Jeff Mata
Personal
Jeff is a full-time business administration student at California State University at San Marcos. Jeff started his judo career in 2014 by taking silver at the USA Judo Presidents Cup, in Dallas, TX in the 72 Kg category. He competed at the 2015 IBSA World Cup and later that same year in the IBSA World Games both in the 72 Kg category. Jeff competes in regional and national tournaments to prepare himself for international events.
Currently, he trains three days per week at the San Diego Brazilian JuJitsu Academy under the watchful eyes of his instructor Paulo Fernando. Jeff also weight trains at Worlds Gym and 24-Hour Fitness of San Diego to increase his fitness level.
Jeff spends his spare time enjoying hiking, swimming, cooking, and live concerts.
