MORE ON HELEN: Helen started skiing when she was 7 years old through a program called Eagle River Junior Nordic. She later joined a more competitive ski club called Alaska Nordic Racing (ANR) when she was 13 and began biathlon the same year (FUN FACT: the first time she ever tried Biathlon was a race!). She attended Eagle River High School and participated in cross country running, swimming, Nordic skiing, and track & field. Helen's first international competition was Arctic Winter Games, held in Nuuk, Greenland at the age of 14. She has qualified for five of Alaska's Junior National Teams, seven YJWCH Teams, and had her IBU Cup debut in March 2021. One of her favorite travels was experiencing the life of a biathlete at Sollefteå Skidgymnasium in 2017.

Currently, Helen is a senior at Montana State University who is majoring in Accounting.
