- Joined U.S. Women's National Team in January 2011
- Started four of five matches at 2011 Pan American Games in helping the U.S. win the bronze medal…averaged 4.67 assists, 1.17 points and 0.50 blocks per set while converting six of nine errorless attacks for kills
- Her uncle Galen Tomlinson, who was Turbo in the 1980s television series American Gladiator, was her mentor and coach in both volleyball and track and field in her youth. After the passing of Lloyd’s father when she was four years old, Tomlinson moved in shortly afterwards and came to be a father figure for her. To read more about the relationship, click here
- Led U.S. Women’s National A2 Team to the gold medal at the 2010 USA Volleyball Open National Championships and selected to the all-tournament team
- Became first player to become a three-time selection for the U.S. Women’s National A2 Program
- Named all-tournament at the 2009 USA Volleyball Open National Championships after leading her USA A2 squad to the bronze medal.
- Helped her USA A2 squad to the gold medal at the 2008 USA Volleyball Open National Championships, earning all-tournament in the process.
- Named American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division I Player of the Year and All-America First-Team after leading University of California-Berkeley to a runner-up finish in the NCAA Division I Women's National Championship
- Became second-player in school history to receive three AVCA All-America honors
- Captured three all-tournament honors in final three seasons of competing in the USA Volleyball Girls' Junior National Championships
- Grandfather Doug Tomlinson was a former Major League Baseball pitcher for the Cleveland Indians

Happiest Moment in Life: "In my volleyball life my happiest moment was finding out I would be traveling to the 2016 Olympics."
Path to the Podium
- Started playing volleyball in 2000 in sixth grade with Vintage Volleyball Club, ending her youth club career with Epic Volleyball Club
- Became first player to become a three-time selection to the U.S. Women’s National A2 Program (now U.S. Collegiate National Team). She led the team to gold at the 2008 and 2010 USA Volleyball Open National Championships and was a three-time all-tournament selection
- Named AVCA Division I Player of the Year after leading California to a runner-up finish at the NCAA Championship as a junior in 2010
- Made debut with U.S. Women’s National Team at 2011 Pan American Games
- Named most valuable player at the 2015 Pan American Games
- 2016 Olympic Bronze Medalist
- In 2017, named USA Volleyball Female Indoor Player of the Year
