Biographical Information

Brandon Frazier is an American figure skater and Olympic medalist, specializing in pair skating. He was born in Phoenix, Arizona, and began skating at the age of 11 after roller skating for six years. He initially trained as a singles skater but soon found his strengths in pair skating. Competitive roller skating partners since 2002, Frazier and Haven Denney later transitioned to figure skating and competed for three seasons together. The highlight of his professional skating career, Frazier and his partner, Alexa Knierim, won the gold medal in the team event at the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022.

Throughout his career, Frazier has earned multiple U.S. national titles and international medals. At the 2022 ISU World Figure Skating Championships, he and Knierim clinched the gold medal, making them the first American pair to do so since 1979. The pair also secured the U.S. National Championship title twice (in 2021 and 2023) in addition to three Grand Prix gold medals and a silver at the 2022 Grand Prix Final. Following the 2022-2023 season, Frazier and Knierim stepped away from competitive skating.

Frazier has since transitioned to coaching, working alongside esteemed coaches Jenni Meno and Todd Sand at Great Park Ice. Frazier is also a Board Ambassador for the Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation, a non-profit that funds cancer research.
