- Daughter of Peter and Elesha Halko
- Has two sisters, Isabella and Jordyne
- Paralympic track wheelchair athlete who focuses on the short to middle distance races
- She started racing at seven years old with the Great Oklahoma Disabled Sports Association (now known as OKASA) then moved to Williamsburg, Virginia where she joined the adaptive sports club Sportable in Richmond, Virginia
- In 2015, Alexa was named to the U.S. Paralympics National Track & Field team and joined the Growing Runners Sports Club where she was coached by Drew Mearns
- She made her Paralympic debut in Rio 2016 where she became a three-time Paralympic medalist
- She has since been training at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign's Paralympic Training Site under Coach Adam Bleakney where she continues her education as a Communications major
- Alexa’s hobbies include podcasting, vlogging, painting and writing
- At the age of 16, became the youngest U.S. athlete to qualify for the Paralympic Games Rio 2016
