Bart Conner is one of the most accomplished American male gymnasts in history. He was the first American gymnast to win gold medals at every level of national and international competition. A member of the 1976 and 1984 U.S. Olympic Teams, Conner discovered his talent for acrobatics in grade school gym class. He went on to attend the University of Oklahoma, where he earned 14 NCAA All-American honors and two NCAA titles. At the Olympic Games Los Angeles 1984, Conner sustained a torn bicep injury, but made a dramatic comeback to win gold medals in both team and parallel bars events. Following this competitive career, Conner opened a number of Gymnastics-related businesses, including the Bart Conner Gymnastics Academy. He has also worked for every major television network as an announcer and commentator, and he delivers speeches with his wife Nadia Comaneci to inspire young athletes and promote a healthy lifestyle.
