She then went on to anchor the 4x100m to gold at the 2007 IAAF World Championships and take fourth place in the 100m (11.05) and 200m (22.65)...she ran a personal-best 10.90 at the 2007 adidas Track Classic...By winning the 100m gold medal and the 200m silver medal at the 2003 World Outdoor Championships, Edwards established herself as a legitimate threat in both events...she ended the season with personal best performances in the 100m (10.93) and 200m (22.28)...in 2000, Edwards arrived at the Olympic Games as part of the 4x100m relay pool and ended up competing in 3 events - 100, 200, 4x100 relay - when Inger Miller withdrew due to injury...Edwards started sprinting when she joined her school team in junior high. She says she was just an average sprinter in high school; her best state meet finish was 4th in the 200m...a year later she won the Pac-10 titles in both the 100 and 200 meters: ‘Not until I got to college did I realize that I could be good. Winning the Pac-10 titles gave me a big boost in confidence, and I found myself setting higher and higher goals.'
