What it means to represent the United States: It's such an honor, I had the time of my life on the Jr. National Team and I cant wait to experience the Women's team with other woman I know and respect so much. And to make it even better I'll have my sister by side while we travel to different places representing our country. It's ever girls dream to do what I'm getting the privilege to do, and I will live it up to the fullest.
What she loves about softball: It's a sport of failure, more often than not you're going to fail but your ability to move on and put it behind you is key in a game that can become so difficult. I love the challenge softball puts upon me each and every day which only pushes me to work harder and be better. You can always get better and I love that, I love the challenge it brings to the table.
On why she chose to attend Michigan: It's Michigan whats not to love about it?!? Sure the winter is harsh sometimes but I'm from California and I'm doing more than okay. It's a huge college town, amazing atmosphere, You'll get a degree from the number one ranked public university in the nation. I also fell in love with the coaching staff and the beautiful Alumni Field we get to practice on when its not covered in snow. When I stepped on campus I just knew Michigan was where I was supposed to go, there was no doubt in my mind I wanted to be a Wolverine.
Interesting fact: Romero will be playing with Team USA this summer alongside younger sister Sydney, who is a member of the 2015 Junior Women's National Team.
