Two Decades Later, Gary ‘Hangtime’ Hines Is Still Chasing His Olympic Handball Dream

Sean Zimber has been playing handball since the age of 12 in Japan for most of his life. As a dual citizen of Japan and the United States, Sean's father showed him a flyer about a Team USA tryout when he was a sophomore in college. Since then, Sean has represented Team USA on the Junior National Team and Senior National Team level. Sean joined the residency program at Auburn University and completed his college degree. He graduated in 2018 and returned to Japan. As a representative of Team USA, Sean has sent a goal to win as many games as possible on the international stage for USA. He enjoys playing and watching other sports including Soccer and Basketball, and some of his hobbies include swimming and fishing. Sean aspires to be a P.E. teacher and to teach his kids the game of Handball if they so wish to play.
