• Selected by the New Jersey Devils as the 27th overall pick in the 1998 NHL entry draft
• First Hispanic to be drafted in the first-round by an NHL team, only the 18th Alaskan to ever be drafted

• Won Stanley Cup titles with the New Jersey Devils in both 2000 and 2003

It's Every Day
Gomez continues to play for the New Jersey Devils. Two of his fellow Devils teammates, Brian Gionta, and, Brian Rafalski, were also selected as members of the 2006 U.S. Olympic Team.
