Personal
I started karate when I was 6 years old!...I have an older brother, Elvis, who is Senior USA Team Member in the Male -60 KG Division, and a younger sister named Elvira....The heroes in my real life are my parents. They sacrificed everything to bring my brother and I to the US to give us a better live. Throughout my life, they constantly worked, so that my siblings and I could practice Karate and go to tournaments. They always supports us in anything and everything we do and that’s why they are my heroes....The thing I love about competition is the unity it brings. I love being able to cheer for my friends, as well as my teammates and to hear them do the same. We may be from all over the country and only see each other a few times a year, but the sport of Karate and competition brings us together....I get my inspiration from my family and teammates. They are always pushing me to be better and are always there for me when the results are not what I was striving for....My biggest win would have to be winning the 2019 National Championships for the 18-20 Female Elite Kumite -61kg. It was a completely new weight class for me to fight in and I had just come back from an injury, so winning my first National Championships on stage in front of my whole family and all of my friends was amazing....“Failure will never overtake me if my determination to succeed is strong enough." - Og Mandino
