What it means to represent the United States: This is an unbelievable honor to represent my country. Not many people can say they got this opportunity and I'm ready to compete for a gold medal and help the team achieve that goal.
What he loves about softball: I enjoy how fast paced it is and that it is very challenging.
How did you get your start: I got started playing softball a few years ago from a buddy of mine. He played for a weekday recreational team and asked me to play, so I did. We ended up playing in some big tournaments and the USA coaches saw me play there.
Who is your biggest supporter: My friends and family have been very supportive throughout my entire career. I played professional baseball before this and had to make a ton of sacrifices and they call supported me through all of that.
Interesting fact: When I was 12 I was diagnosed with Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes. I like people to know, especially kids who have diabetes, because I feel like I can show them that even with diabetes you can still reach your seams and goals with hard work, and that diabetes doesn't hold you back if you don't let it. I reached my dream of playing professional baseball and did it for 5 years, and now I get to represent my country all while having diabetes.
