Career Highlights

Ginepri has made a strong showing in 2008 to push his ranking back inside the Top 100 after finishing 2007 ranked outside the Top 100 for the first time since 2002. He has the distinction of being the only active American man other than Andy Roddick to reach the semifinals at a Grand Slam event (2005 US Open).

Olympic Experience

• Missed being named to the 2004 U.S. Olympic team despite being ranked No. 35 in the world. He was the fifth-ranked

American to enter singles and the maximum number of singles players per country was four.

Career Highlights

• Reached semifinals at three consecutive ATP events in Delray Beach, Fla., San Jose, Calif., and Las Vegas in February and March to return to the Top 100 in the world rankings for the first time since October 2007.
• In 2005, finished the year inside the Top 20 (at No. 17) in the world rankings after falling to a season-low ranking of No. 103 in July. Reached semifinal at US Open with consecutive five-set wins over Tommy Haas, Richard Gasquet and Guillermo Coria before falling in five sets to Andre Agassi.
• Became only U.S. Davis Cup rookie to rally from a two-sets-to-love deficit when he defeated Austria's Jurgen Melzer in the 2004 World Group First Round at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. Owns a 2-0 record in Davis Cup competition.

Junior Highlights

• Boys' singles runner-up at 2000 US Open, losing to Andy Roddick in the first all-American final since 1985.
• Also in 2000, captured the Boys' 18s Easter Bowl singles title and helped the U.S. win the ITF Sunshine Cup, the junior equivalent to Davis Cup.
• In 1999, finished No. 1 and undefeated (23-0) in USTA 16-and-under competition, winning the USTA Boys' 16s national title.

• Joined Atlanta Youth Tennis Foundation advisory board in 2004.

Personal

• A multi-sport athlete, he did not devote himself to tennis until age 12.
• Father, Rene, who was born in Luxembourg, is a systems analyst; mother, Nancy, is a school teacher; has an older sister, Jenni.
• In 2004, Robby purchased the Olde Towne Athletic Club in East Cobb, Georgia, with former coach Jerry Baskin. The Club is managed by Robby's father and has numerous charity events, special events, and weddings.
• Became first player to compete at Wimbledon with a sleeveless shirt on June 23, 2003.
• Coached by Jose Higueras (who also works with Roger Federer).
