Competing in two Summer Olympics, Rebecca Giddens won a silver medal in the K-1 Women's event in 2004 at the Athens Olympic Games. In 2002, Giddens earned herself the title of World Champion when she won gold at the ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships in Bourg St. Maurice, France. The following year, she once again found herself on the podium, this time winning a bronze medal at the 2003 World Championships in Augsburg, Germany.
Currently, Rebecca lives with her husband Eric and their two daughters in Kernville, California. Both Eric and Rebecca own and operate the Kernville Brewery. Her husband finished 20th in the men's K-1 event at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. He was also the color commentator for NBC at the 2012 London Olympic Games.
