Personal Life

Born in Atlanta and raised in Florence, Massachusetts, Thomas graduated from Harvard University in 2019 with a degree in neurobiology and global health. Following graduation, she achieved her Master’s Degree in epidemiology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.

Thomas is an advocate for diversity in STEM fields and uses her platform to encourage young people, especially young women of color, to pursue careers in science and technology.

Thomas attended The Williston Northampton School in Massachusetts, where she excelled in track and field. Her talent earned her a place at Harvard University, where she competed in NCAA Division I athletics while pursuing her challenging academic program.

At Harvard, Thomas set multiple school records and won numerous Ivy League titles. Her breakthrough on the national scene came in 2018 when she won the NCAA 200m title and turned professional shortly after.
