Personal
Landeros and U.S. Paralympic Sled Hockey teammate Tyler Carron began their careers in Paralympic sport together after being injured in the same accident. The two were close friends and teammates on the Berthoud High School wrestling team. As high school juniors on the way home from a school dance, Landeros and Carron were changing a tire when they were struck by a vehicle and pinned between two SUVs. As a result of the accident, both Landeros and Carron became bilateral amputees. Landeros, who had played hockey for much of his life, encouraged Carron to try sled hockey, and the two were soon teammates once again. Landeros made his first U.S. National Sled Hockey Team in 2009...Son of Jairos and Laura Landeros…Has one sister, Gabriella…Knows Italian and Spanish…Hobbies include weightlifting, reading, fishing, shooting, cooking, wakeboarding and skiing…His idol is American football player Peyton Manning, Canadian ice hockey players Joe Sakic, Matt Duchene and Patrick Roy…Competed as a mono-skier at the 2016 Winter X Games…Most influential people in his life are his mother and his late coach, Jeff Sauer.
