International Judo Federation Competition History: Nick Yonezuka IJF Profile

Personal: Born into one of the most storied judo families in the nation, Yonezuka was named after his father, 1980 Olympian Nick Yonezuka, and grew up training in the club founded by his grandfather, two-time Olympic Coach Yoshisada Yonezuka. Training and competing alongside his younger brother and National Teammate, Jack Yonezuka, Nick qualified to represent Team USA for the first time at the 2019 Cadet World Championships and later went on to compete at two Junior World Championships (2021 and 2022) as well as the 2022 Senior Worlds. A Senior National Champion by the age of 19, Yonezuka has hopes of adding to his family's Olympic history by competing on the world's largest stage in Paris or Los Angeles.
