Personal
Moritz grew up in Germany playing soccer and tennis, starting at 4 years old. At the age of 15, he made his way to handball through some close friends, who introduced him to the local handball club (HG Amberg). After graduating from high school, he decided to attend the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg where he graduated in 2014 with a degree in International Production Engineering and Management. He plans on continuing his education with a master’s degree.

Moritz believes handball is a fast, athletic, and dynamic sport! While being one of the most watched and played sports in Europe, unfortunately it has not fully made its way to the U.S. In the future, Moritz hopes that the sport of handball attracts more attention in the U.S., and maybe it can establish itself in the years to come on a college and club level as a foundation.
