It's Every Day

Engstrom, like many athletes, dreamed of making the U.S. Olympic team ever since she was little. Being named to Team USA for the 2004 World Championships, she became just a single step away from reaching that dream. "It was just exciting and nerve racking, but I'm so excited inside, like an internal release, it's about time," she said about being named to the 2004 U.S. hockey team to Burnett County Sentinel. "It was more a sense of pride than anything. Been a lot of hard work and it's nice to get rewarded."

Quote

On her support of her town: It's nice to get phone calls from home and so nice to have support back home," she told the Burnett County Sentinel. "I don't feel like I'm in it on my own. It's very much appreciated. I'll never forget where my roots are."
