- Mother, Charlene, played volleyball at Hilo, where she won three national championships and was named a two-time All-American
- Micah married Brooke Fournier in Hawaii shortly after the Rio Games
- Fournier played beach volleyball for USC in 2013-14 after transferring from Arkansas' indoor team
- Micah and Brooke are the parents of Ezekiel Kūpaʻa, born in 2018, and Quinn, born in 2020
