• Played two seasons of collegiate hockey for St. Cloud State
• Selected by the Colorado Avalanche as the 79th overall pick in the 1996 NHL entry draft
• Made his NHL debut with the Florida Panthers in 1998, and was traded to the New York Islanders in 2000
• Awarded "Good Guy" Award by the LI chapter of the NY Writers' Association for cooperation with the media
• Mark and his wife, Nicholle were married in the summer of 2004

It's Every Day
Parrish currently plays for the New York Islanders, where he was named assistant captain in 2005. His fellow Islanders teammates Rick DiPietro and Jason Blake are also 2006 U.S. Olympic Team members.
