Biographical Information
Madison Chock began her figure skating career at the age of five. She skated with Greg Zuerlein from 2006-2011, and together they won the 2009 World Junior, U.S. Junior and Junior Grand Prix Final titles. They also earned two U.S. bronze medals — one as juniors in 2008 and another as seniors in 2011. Chock later partnered with Evan Bates in 2011, and the two became one of the top U.S. ice dance teams.
Chock is involved in costume design for the team’s performances, showcasing her creative side off the ice. In her personal life, Chock has a deep interest in design and works alongside Bates to create their costumes. Outside of skating, she enjoys spending time with their two toy poodles, Stella and Henry.
Olympic Highlights
Making her Olympic debut at the Sochi 2014 Olympic games, Chock won her first Olympic medal at the Beijing 2022 Olympic Games where she captured silver in the team event and finished 4th in the individual ice dance event.
World Championship Highlights
Chock and Bates' partnership has earned them significant achievements at the ISU World Figure Skating Championships, including silver medals in 2015 and bronze medals in 2016 and 2022. The duo has also won gold medals in 2023 and 2024, securing their place as dominant figures in the sport. Their 2024 win marked their first time winning consecutive titles.
