In the 2005 season, Colander qualified to be a part of Team USA for the world Outdoor Championships in Helsinki where she made it to the 200m finals in which she placed fifth...Colander won the second Olympic Trials title of her career in 2004, winning the 100m to go along with her 400m title from 2000she has transformed herself from a junior hurdles champion to a premier sprinter...in 2003, she moved from the 400 to the 100 meters, where she set a personal best of 11.08 with her third place finish at the Nike Prefontaine Classic...that PR was lowered at the 2004 Olympic Trials, where she ran 10.97 to win the final...in her first year of competing in the 400m in 2000, she won the Olympic Trials and anchored Team USA to a gold medal in the 4x400m relay at the Sydney Olympics...in 2001 she won her second straight U.S. title, but a quadriceps injury prevented her from competing at World Outdoors...originally a 100m hurdler, she switched to the 400m hurdles in 1999 after an outstanding collegiate career in the short hurdles at North Carolina...also an ACC champion at 200 meters, she had one of her top years in 1994 when she won the USA Junior title and was second at the World Junior Championships...has personal best of 13.07 in the 100H (1996) and 56.88 in the 400mH (1999)in the year 2000, Colander established the LC Treasures Within Foundation MISSION STATEMENT: Strengthening kids, families and the world through education, sports and spirituality.www.lctreasures.com
