• Daughter of Maggie and Tom Courtney
• Grew up at the base of Mount Tamalpais, the birthplace of mountain biking
• Was introduced to the sport through her father and would ride with him on the back of a tandem mountain bike in exchange for pancakes on Sunday mornings
• Enjoys traveling the world for bike races and tries to make the most of each country, including holding a koala in Australia, zip-lining in South Africa and coming face-to-face with a bull in Argentina
• Likes sparkles, waffles, fishtail braids and tacos
• Hobbies include skiing, surfing, yoga and photography
• Won three World Cup XC events, two World Cup XCC events and went on to secure the 2019 Overall UCI MTB World Cup Title - becoming the first American to do so in 17 years.
