Daughter of Maggie and Tom Courtney...Grew up at the base of Mount Tamalpais, the birthplace of mountain biking...Was introduced to the sport through her father and would ride with him on the back of a tandem mountain bike in exchange for pancakes on Sunday mornings...Enjoys traveling the world for bike races and tries to make the most of each country, including holding a koala in Australia, zip-lining in South Africa and coming face-to-face with a bull in Argentina...Likes sparkles, waffles, fishtail braids and tacos...Hobbies include skiing, surfing, yoga and photography… Won three World Cup XC events, two World Cup XCC events and went on to secure the 2019 Overall UCI MTB World Cup Title - becoming the first American to do so in 17 years.
