He earned 2 gold medals in his US Open debut and Iowa State Championships.He is a martial artist with Cerebral Palsy. He has been training in Taekwondo for 25 years. He holds a purple belt in American Taekwondo Association, held the position Trainee Instructor at ATA _XMA Martial Arts, and Leader for the Special Abilities group. He also holds 1st Dan black belt in Jidokwan Taekwondo and competes as part of USA PARA TAEKWONDO.
