  • Has a sister, Alexi
  • Was diagnosed with osteogenic sarcoma, a type of bone cancer, in his left femur at the age of eight
  • Underwent countless surgeries, in addition to chemotherapy, but eventually opted to have his left leg amputated

  • Credits his biggest motivations to be his fiancé and his family.
  • Growing up as an avid baseball player in California, he was introduced to wheelchair basketball through a man at Costco, who stopped to talk to him about the sport

  • After trying it, he fell in love with the sport and has progressed to playing overseas in Spain and with the U.S. men’s national team

  • Enjoys working out, exploring, traveling, doing motivational speeches, promoting the Paralympic movement, hiking and trying new food

  • Is a huge Golden State Warriors fan
