How many years have you been weightlifting?
I have been weightlifting for 11+ years, and started lifting at the age of 10 in Elmira, NY.
How did you get involved?
When I was 10 my father took me to do Olympic Style Weightlifting with my first coach, Jim Storch.
For the first several years I competed in both weightlifting and powerlifting. After 4 years in both sports I
made the decision to pursue predominantly weightlifting. From the time I was 13 years old until I left for
college at 18, I trained Weightlifting with my father 3 days a week.
