• Began sailing at age eight and became serious about it at age 12
• Sailed at Boston College, and became the first person to win four Singlehanded National Championships
• Her sister, Sophia, also sails out of the Lauderdale Yacht Club with Erika
• Wants to pursue a career in sports marketing and management after the Olympic Games
• Plays the ukulele and learned how to play piano by watching YouTube videos
• Hobbies include wakeboarding, kiteboarding, cycling, surfing, volleyball, running and hiking
