Son of Louis and Joey Allen. Has a fraternal twin sister, Carissa, along with one other sister, Rikki, and a brother, William. Played football at the University of Oregon in addition to running track for the Ducks. At wide receiver, played two seasons at Oregon and reached the 2015 College Football Playoff final. Hauled in a career-high seven touchdowns during the 2014 season. Sustained a torn ACL on New Year’s Day 2015 in the Rose Bowl while returning a kickoff against Florida State. Passed up a potential professional football career. Was baptized two days before punching his ticket to Rio 2016 on the Willamette River in Eugene, Oregon.
