The Big Blurb
Can Destinee come back from a season off in 2013 after giving birth to her first child and be the same dominant player that was respected as one top volleyball players in the world? “My daughter has brought so much joy to my life,” Hooker-Coulter said after the birth of her daughter Keitany. “It only motivates me to get back on the court and play not only for me, but more for her. I love her so much. She's my heartbeat. I'm motivated more than ever and nothing is going to stand in my way.”

The Quote
"I'm more of an energizer," Hooker said in relation to her past sport, high jumping. "In high jump you're by yourself and I hated that. Having to walk back and forth like that waiting for my coach. I like receiving energy and giving out energy. I think volleyball was a great choice."
