Personal

Dan Monzo loved snowboarding before he lost his left leg in a dirtbike accident when he was 15-years-old. Six months after he got his prosthetic, and with only a two-foot wide path of snow, Monzo decided it was time to see how his prosthetic would do snowboarding. He cleared a jump and slid half-way down a rail. Monzo said he face planted in the mud, but stood up with a huge smile on his face because that was the moment he knew he would be able to snowboard again, and he made the decision to become a professional adaptive snowboarder.
