Grew up in the UK but emigrated to USA in 1986. Got a job training Killer Whales at the San Diego Sea World where he worked for 8 years. Sea World sponsored athlete in 1991 and 1992. Made the National Team in 1989, 1990, 2 Silver at 1991 Pan American Games in Cuba, led the USA K4 to a 9th place in the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, 2 Silver at 1995 Pan American Games in Argentina. Currently coaches San Diego Canoe Kayak Team and was Head Coach of 2014 and 2015 Junior World Championship Team. Named 2010, 2013 USA Canoe/Kayak Coach of the Year. Main job is a Captain/Paramedic for the San Diego Fire Rescue Department. Both his son, Sean and Daughter, Samantha named to USA Junior National Teams.
