Personal
B-girl name: "Snap 1"...I was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska, and I am a Tlingit Alaskan Native. I have been breaking for 15 years and started with my hometown crew Elements of Rice (EOR). I was the only female in the crew and the only B-girl in Alaska for well over 12 years. I was still the only B-girl in Alaska upon leaving the state in 2022. My style is heavily male influence, which makes me stand out amongst my peers. Today I am a member of an all female crew called Flooristas...In my professional career, I am a UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter mechanic, crew chief, and instructor for the National Guard. Being a Blackhawk mechanic has been my full-time job since 2013. I was also the first female to complete the instructors course and the first person to graduate that course with honors from the state of Alaska. I deployed to Iraq with my husband in 2021-2022, where I continued to train to the best of my ability for the upcoming Team USA qualifiers. ...Ever since I watched the movie 'Miracle' about the 1980 Team USA Olympic hockey team, it has always been a dream to make Team USA. I had once given up that dream by walking away from my collegiate-bound sports to solely pursue
breaking. Now, I have finally made my dreams come true by being one of the first members of the first ever Team USA Breaking. I attribute this accomplishment to always reminding myself; "If you do what is easy, your life will be hard. If you do what is hard, your life will be easy."
