  • Graduated from the University of Nebraska-Omaha in 2001 with a degree in small business management. He is the president of Mortgage Specialists, LLC
  • Played baseball for four years at Nebraska-Omaha. His senior year, he served as captain and he made the NCC All-Conference team and became a free agent with the Omaha Royals, the Triple A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals
  • In February 2002, was driving between Omaha and Lincoln and noticed a car that had slid off the road. He pulled over and got out to help the driver get her car back on the pavement when he was struck by another vehicle. He lost his left foot. His right ankle was shattered, and he ended up with a 16" rod in his right leg
  • In 2003, joined the Nebraska Barons Wheelchair Softball Team and broke records for home runs, doubles, intentional walks, and on-base percentage at the 2003 National Wheelchair Softball Tournament (NWST). He was named MVP three times by NWST as he led the Barons to four national titles in six years
  • Joined the U.S. Men's Sitting Volleyball Team in 2003

  • MAJOR INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION 2011: – Parapan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico (Silver Medal).
  • 2011: – Competed in July in the 2011 Continental Cup in Kettering, England
  • 2011: Competed in May with the U.S. Men’s Sitting Team in the Sarajevo Open in Bosnia-Herzegovina. Brent was part of the team that competed in two exhibition matches against Canada in a joint training camp that won both matches.
  • 2010: – Helped the U.S. Men's Sitting Team to 10th place at Sitting World Championships in Oklahoma
  • 2010: Parapan American Championship in Denver, Colo. (Silver Medal)
  • 2010: WOWD World Cup in Port Said, Egypt (Fifth Place).
  • 2010: – Brent was one of the only players for the U.S. men, along with Duda, to start in all 26 sets of the Sitting World Championships. As team captain, he tallied 49 kills, 1.88 per set, which was second best on the squad. He also posted eight blocks, 0.31 per set, 10 digs, 1.85 per set, and three service aces, 0.12 per set.
