What does it mean to play for USA Softball? It has been a lifelong dream of mine to play in a Men’s Softball World Championship and to win a WBSC gold medal. I am half American and half Australian and to be able to represent a part of who I am is very special to me. I am honored to be wearing the red, white and blue and will play with a lot of pride.
How did you get started in Men's Fast Pitch? When I was four years old living in Sydney, I had friends who had just begun playing T-ball. My parents decided to enroll me and as I got older, I started to learn how to pitch. From there, I began making representative sides such as state teams and traveling the world to pitch.
What is your favorite thing about Men's Fast Pitch? The fact that I can travel all around the world and be introduced to the most amazing people and cultures. I've made lifelong friends around the world from this sport.
What would you tell someone who wanted to know more about Men's Fast Pitch? Give it a go! The great thing about Men's Fast Pitch is that the community is so welcoming and there are no silly questions.
If you could give young softball athletes one piece of advice, what would it be? Don't give up. There will always be a time in someone's life where things may not being going as planned - That builds character! Everything happens for a reason and if you're stuck, ask for help.
What non-softball sport would you like to try? American Football!
Personal motto: Everything happens for a reason
