Bobby Body

Personal

• Was born in an Army hospital and to a military family
• Body and his sister spent their early years in a military orphanage
• Was accepted to Ferris State University, where he studied criminal justice and played on the school's rugby team
• Joined the Army following 9/11
• Lost his leg after his Humvee was struck by a roadside bomb during a routine mission in Iraq
• Is a certified peer support specialist, counseling other Veterans and amputees with PTSD to help them overcome their obstacles
• Part of his treatment included going into fitness, where he fell in love with Para powerlifting
