Biographical Information
Ben Richardson is a curler and multi-talented individual with a passion for music and fitness. Born in Miami, he moved to Washington, attending Skyline High School, and went on to graduate from the Cleveland Institute of Music, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance. In addition to his curling achievements, Ben is an accomplished cellist and enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle through fitness.
Olympic Highlights
Richardson represented the United States at the Lillehammer 2016 Youth Olympic Games. He earned a silver medal in the mixed team event and also competed in the mixed doubles event with Giovanna Barros, finishing in ninth place.
Richardson competed in his first Olympic trials in 2021.
Career Highlights
Richardson competed in the World Junior Curling Championships from 2017-2020, finishing in second place in 2017. He also placed second at the 2023 FISU World University Games.
Early Career
Ben Richardson began curling as a youth in Miami, a region not traditionally associated with winter sports. His dedication to the sport led him to compete at a high level during his high school years, ultimately earning a spot on Team USA for the 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Games.
