GETTING TO KNOW AMANDA LORENZ
Dream Job: To be a college softball coach
Favorite activity: Going to the lake
Favorite type of music: Country because it always gets me in a good mood
Best advice I have ever received: "Only worry about the things you can control" and to just be myself.
What it means to represent the United States: Representing the USA means everything to me. I have dreamed of wearing Red, White, and Blue and playing for Team USA at the highest level since I was 8 years old. I used to chase down the greats such as Laura Berg, Jennie Finch, Jessica Mendoza, Caitlin Lowe, Natasha Watley, and Lisa Fernandez for their autographs. This is very exciting and unreal opportunity and I am so excited.
What she loves about playing softball: The friendships that I have formed and the life sessions I have learned. Competing and laughing with my teammates.
What is your favorite softball memory: Playing in the WCWS
Who were your softball role models growing up? Jennie Finch, Natasha Watley, Jessica Mendoza, Caitlin Lowe, Kelly Kretschman, Lovie Jung
