• Daughter of Lynn and Rick Raisman
• Has two sisters, Madison and Chloe, and one brother, Brett
• Favorite event is floor exercise
• Began gymnastics in 1996, after repeatedly watching a recording of the 1996 Olympic Games, in which the U.S. won the women’s team gold medal
• Took a break from competitive gymnastics following the 2012 Olympic Games, returning to competition in March 2015 to pursue her second Olympic berth
• Finished fourth on the 16th season of “Dancing with the Stars” in 2013
• Supports the Uniting Against Lung Cancer organization in memory of her grandmother, who passed away from the disease
• Plans to pursue a career in fashion and expand her signature line of leotards and socks
• Hobbies include practicing hot yoga
• Volunteers with Special Olympics.
