Blackwell began skeleton in 2002, after learning it was added to the Olympic program. His previous athletic experience, includes running track in high school. Blackwell's favorite hobbies, include kite surfing and CrossFit. His favorite food is macaroni and cheese, while his favorite location is the Greek Isles.
