• Daughter of Ken and Debra Krieger
• Has one brother, Kyle, whom she calls her hero
• Began her professional soccer career in Frankfurt, Germany, where she helped Frankfurt to the 2011 German Cup title
• Allocated to the Washington Spirit for the inaugural season of the NWSL
• Has a tattoo the word, Liebe, which means “love” in German
• Krieger means “warrior” in German and her teammates called her “The Warrior Princess”
• Broke her leg during her final year at Penn State University; several plane flights during the College Cup led to blood clots in her leg that resulted in a pulmonary embolism and a series of mini heart-attacks
• Coached by her father, Ken, from ages 7-19
• Speaks fluent German
• Hopes to pursue a career in sports broadcasting and continue to positively impact women’s soccer around the world after retiring from the sport
• Never leaves the house without wearing mascara, which she calls her “war paint”
• Interests include longboarding, practicing yoga, hiking, golfing and dancing.
