Brittni Mason And Dallas Wise Win Multiple Events At Paris Para Track Grand Prix

With the U.S. Paralympics Track & Field National Championships a week away, some of the top American Para track and field athletes traveled to France this week to get a tune-up at the World Para Athletics Grand Prix in Paris. 
The U.S. won a total of 15 medals, with eight golds, five silvers and two bronzes in Paris. 
Of those top Americans, two stood out above the rest: Paralympians Brittni Mason and Dallas Wise will both be coming home with two gold medals apiece. 
Mason, who won three medals in her Paralympic debut in Tokyo, won the 100-meter and 200-meter races in the T47 classification. The 24-year-old won the 100 with a time of 12.19 seconds, edging out Kiara Rodriguez of Ecuador who came in second at 12.56. Mason’s time of 26.07 in the 200 beat Amanda Rummery of Canada, who clocked in at 26.70. 
Wise won his golds in two field events in the T47 classification. The USC Trojan cleared 2.03 meters on his third attempt in the high jump, which was just .03 meters behind his silver-medal winning height in Tokyo. He beat out Jordan Lee of Ireland and Angkarn Chanaboon of Thailand, who each maxed out at 1.90. The 21-year-old Wise added a win in the long jump, recording a distance of 6.77 meters. That beat Georgios Kostakis of Greece, who’s longest jump was 6.30 meters. 
Four other Americans won their events in Paris, including Josh Cinnamo, who won the shot put finals in the F42/46 classification with a throw of 15.92 meters. 
Teenager Samantha Heyison was the only other American to win multiple medals at the event. She won silver in both the discus and shot put. Two-time Paralympian Jessica Heims was one spot behind Heyison in the discus.
Paralympians Breanna Clark (400-meter), Liza Corso (1,500-meter) and Mikey Brannigan (1,500-meter) rounded out the golds for Team USA. 
Four Paralympians rounded out the rest of the medals. Gianfranco Iannotta (100-meter), Hagan Landry (shot put) and Justin Phongsavanh (javelin throw) each earned a silver, while Tanner Wright picked up a bronze in the 400-meter.
