Paralympian Rebecca Hart Wins Dressage Bronze At Equestrian World Championships

Rebecca Hart is no stranger to the big stage.
The 37-year-old equestrian is a four-time Paralympian and is now participating in her fourth FEI World Championships, this one coming in Herning, Denmark.
It took a while for all of that experience to turn into silverware for the Erie, Pennsylvania, native. Hart won her first world championships medal in 2018 in Tyron, North Carolina, when she won a bronze medal in the grade III individual test and a silver in the grade III freestyle test on the same day.
Three years later, in her fourth Paralympics, she earned her first Paralympic medal, winning a bronze in the dressage team test to music alongside Roxanne Trunnell and Kate Shoemaker.
All of those medals came while Hart was riding El Corona Texel, who Hart has been competing with since September 2017.
Hart and El Corona Texel, 13, won another medal together on Thursday, as they captured a bronze in the grade III individual dressage. Hart — who’s currently ranked 21st in the world in Para dressage — finished with a final score of 73.147 percent, less than a full percentage point behind Natasha Baker of Great Britain in second.
Tobias Thorning Joergensen won gold comfortably, finishing with a final score of 78.676.
The world championships continue through Sunday in Herning.
