Caitlyn Jenner, formerly known as Bruce, is a former track and field star who won the gold medal and broke the world record in the men’s decathlon at the Olympic Games Montreal 1976. One of the most well-known athletes in the 1970s, Jenner originally played football but switched to Track and Field due to an injury. After placing 10th at the Olympic Games Munich 1972, Jenner returned four years later to win gold in world-record fashion. Jenner remained in the public spotlight after the conclusion of the Olympian's athletic career, appearing on the cover of the Wheaties cereal box, working as a motivational speaker, writing several book and making guest appearances on televisions shows. Most notably, Jenner has been featured on the reality series, “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.” In 2015, Jenner came out publicly as a transgender woman. Later that year, she accepted the 2015 Arthur Ashe Award for Courage at the ESPY Awards.
