ARTISTIC GYMNASTICS AT THE PAN AM GAMES#


The U.S. will field an experienced men’s artistic roster for the Pan American Games Santiago 2023. That roster includes Colt Walker – the three-time NCAA team champion from Stanford, Stephen Nedoroscik – 2021 word champion and pommel horse specialist, Donnell Whittenburg – a five-time U.S. champion, Shane Wiskus – a 2020 Olympian and three-time NCAA champion, and Cameron Bock – a PanAm Games silver and bronze medalist. The non-traveling reserve athletes include Riley Loos and Curran Philips.


The women’s artistic team includes Olympic silver medalist Jordan Chiles, 2023 U.S. floor exercise runner-up and Winter Cup champion Kaliya Lincoln, 2023 Pan American Championships all-around, balance beam and team gold medalist Tiana Sumanasekera, and 2023 Winter Cup and Core Hydration Classic uneven bars champion Zoe Miller. Non-traveling replacement athletes are Alicia Zhou, Evelynn Lowe, and Nola Matthews.


  • Katelyn Jong — Jong earned her spot at the 2023 Pan American Games after being crowned all-around champion at the Junior Pan American Games in 2021. She also won team gold and vault, beam and floor silver while there. Additionally, she secured four gold medals while competing as a junior at the 2021 Pan American Championships.
  • Colt Walker — Walker is a three-time U.S. medalist and was part of the 2022 World Championships team. He currently attends Stanford University, where he studies mechanical engineering. Walker is the 2022 and 2023 NCAA team champion and the 2022 NCAA parallel bars silver medalist.
  • Donnell Whittenburg — Whittenburg began his elite career at USA Gymnastics in 2006 and is a two-time World medalist and 17-time U.S. medalist. He has been on five WorldChampionships teams (2014, 2015, 2017, 2021, 2022), was an alternate for the 2016 Olympic Team and is currently the oldest man on the U.S. National Team at 29 years old.
  • Shane Wiskus — Wiskus competed at the 2020 Olympic Games and was on the 2019 and 2022 World Championships teams. He is a four-time U.S. medalist and won nine NCAA medals when he attended the University of Minnesota. Wiskus is a native of Minnesota, where the 2024 Olympic Trials–Gymnastics will be held.
